I had lunch with a friend of mine last week who had the most beautiful complexion. Her olive skin was glowing in a dewy, fresh out of the sheets kinda way. While she touted a facialist on the Upper West Side for some of the skin credit, she said the real secret was this product – a little hot pink egg called the Beautyblender. Despite how much I love to shop, I am thrifty with beauty products. I think it’s because my incredibly youthful looking mother still washes with dove soap and doesn’t wear eye cream. Hesitantly, but swayed by the promise of smooth, clear skin, I ordered. My tired, up late, up early, up always face really needed a pick me up.
And well, I got a compliment on my complexion today! Seriously, this was a first.
So…I am a bit more open-minded about the impact of specialty beauty products. And, I really like this one! Plus, who wouldn’t be mesmerized by the color. It is the most enchanting shade of hot pink and looks like a happy, candy raindrop on my vanity table.
It is also easily washed. I know this because my kids have multi purposed it as a bath sponge.
It may not be Botox in a blender, but it helps fix some of the mommy worry.
