Brody is often overlooked during binge shopping sessions. It is not that his clothes are not equally cute, it is just easier to buy his t-shirts and shorts in bulk, at a few select stores. While Bryce’s pieces are more one-off purchases, I can often find multiple graphic shirts and jeans at one store. I also tend to focus on a few select brands when I buy his clothing. Interestingly, this is exactly how my husband shops. He has one or two favorite stores and/or designers, and he tends to buy the bulk of his wardrobe in one or two annual shopping excursions.
Lennon and Wolfe is one of those brands that I have been hoarding lately for Brody. I found his first cotton Henley shirt during a weekend out East in Sag Harbor at an adorable kid’s store called Stella and Ruby. The shirts were incredibly soft, and slim in cut while also a bit long. In fact, Brody is still wearing the shirt I bought him from last season, which is rare for toddler sizing. The sleeves are also slightly cropped, which makes them easy to layer under sweatshirts or wear on their own during in between seasons like we are having right now.
I love that these Henleys can be dressed up with a nice pair of jeans or cotton pants, or worn more casually for gym class with a pair of sweats. While these shirts are only part of the brand’s collection, they happen to be my favorite.
I was so excited when I discovered they were at Barneys – a bit closer than venturing back out East – but even more thrilled when I found an additional Henley for even cheaper on their website. I have also stocked up on a few of their short sleeved t-shirts for camp this summer.
I did say I like to buy in bulk.
