Bryce’s closet is probably my favorite room in the apartment. It is also one of the biggest since it was a former hallway turned dressing suite/bathroom. It was a major selling point when we were house hunting during my pregnancy, as I fantasized about lining its walls with pink linen and lace. Sorry Brody, it’s a girl thing.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, the more space I have means the more items I need to fill it. Clothing is certainly no exception. I have a compulsive shopping problem for children’s clothing, especially little girls’. One of the best parts of motherhood is that I get to live out my smocked-dress and tutu skirt fantasies through Bryce. Picking out her outfits each day is one of the calmest moments I have in this messy and chaotic toddler life.
French children’s clothing is a particular weakness. Couple that with the accessibility of online shopping and I can have direct access to Paris. As it has begun nearing Memorial Day and the promise of summer weather, I have picked up the frequency of my orders and now I have to start hiding my packages from Eric.
However, this one needs to be shown off.
Louise Misha makes the most enchanting little girls’ clothing, perhaps ever. The style is a little vintage and a lot bohemian – basically an ideal combination for the sweetest toddler fashion. I chose a cotton and crochet cross-back tank and an ethereal white dress with silver threading and crochet flutter sleeves. The entire line makes me dream of the impending summer season and weekends in the country spent swimming, blowing dandelion spores and indulging on ice cream. I am probably too crazy and Bryce is definitely too messy to be allowed ice cream in either of these outfits, but I can fantasize about this picturesque life.
They also have a line for mommies with the same boho vibe, but I had to budget accordingly.
It’s May…Why is it still cold out?
