My son Brody is obsessed with cars, trucks, trains, helicopters and really anything that goes. Because of this fascination, we have built up quite the collection of Matchbox cars and other similarly small figurines. Tracks extend out of the playroom and into our bedroom. Loops and tunnels line the hallway from their nursery to the living room.
The kids have a blast driving their cars around the apartment, across the floor and, often, to my dismay, on the walls. But, the real trouble comes when they leave them scattered mid-play, causing a lot of ‘ouchies’ when I all too frequently step on them.
At night, I was spending hours walking around the apartment and collecting all the cars into a mesh laundry bag. During the day, it took forever to dig through this sack in search of the favorite truck of the day. I needed a better organizational too.
This car carrying case from Fairytales and Fire Trucks has changed the way I arrange and display Brody’s motor vehicle collection. The slots allow me to quickly organize the figurines and Brody can easily open the lid and select his favorites. A special bonus, he loves arranging them in the individual compartments by himself.
Double mommy win!
Plus, it is a pretty affordable and creative gift for your other ‘on-the-go’ friends.
