As summer is starting to fade away, I am desperately trying to hold on to my tank tops and cute cotton dresses for just a few more weeks. Although I love the rebirth of the fall season – it is a chance to restart the year and get everyone back on some semblance of a schedule, I am not anxiously awaiting the layering of clothing that is necessary for those plunging temperatures.
And so, I am grasping tight to running through the sprinklers after the sun has gone down, egregiously late bedtimes, and the lack of clothing that only two-year-olds can pull off without any sense of modesty.
For me, I have been wearing these dresses daily as I soak up these steamy last few days of August. A sucker for anything embroidered, I recently went on a hunt to find the best bohemian caftans and cover ups and stumbled upon these. The bright colors are enchanting, and beckon for a day at the beach. Sent directly from Mexico, they are authentic and affordable, so I do not feel guilty buying more than one, or two. I know they will carry over from summer to summer, with use during our mid-winter family vacations. The fabric washes well and has been easy to pack for weekend trips.
I tend to have the hem tailored because I am a little less conservative than the styles suggest, but again; I feel like the price tag allows me to do so. Plus, they are comfortable enough to throw on with flip flops for the park, or heels and chunky earrings for a bit more polished look- when that actually happens.
Each item comes in an adorable woven drawstring bag that Bryce has added to her purse collection, and enjoys collecting and toting objects around the apartment. It is a gift for me and her, which always makes the purchase that much more excusable.
Have I told you lately that I really love Etsy?
